Editing Services

Melissa is available for contract editing from academic/scientific journal articles to a dreamer’s next novel. For over ten years, she has been a contract scientific editor for American Journal Experts and edits and teaches scientific writing for the University of North Carolina and freelance. While she has extensive experience editing manuscripts for non-native English speakers, she also thoroughly enjoys taking part in grant and fellowship applications for students and academics.

Fees:
$30/1000 words ($30 minimum). If your work requires severe editing/time, you will be referred to American Journal Experts, which has translators.

For non-scientific (literary, op-ed, etc.) editing, the fee varies (starting at the above rate), depending on a pre-read of the first 5 pages.

Instruction

Melissa is also available to teach a 4-6-session rotation in scientific and/or creative writing, with cost depending on location and required accommodation (if applicable).

Please let Melissa know what you need. She will get back to you with a quote, and you can go from there.
