OMG, my 11-year-old son and I just saw 2Cellos the last time they will ever perform together in the U.S. I kinda wish I’d known that before I attended the concert.

Check out their US tour schedule, https://www.concertarchives.org/bands/2cellos--4, which they followed immediately with their Europe tour schedule, https://www.croatiaweek.com/2cellos-add-zagreb-madrid-barcelona-to-final-tour/, which added shows as the tour unfolded and ends in New Zealand. Those guys are gonna need a severe break when this grueling tour is over. No wonder they seemed a bit tired and routine at the DPAC. No matter, they’re still incredible (here’s the review I wrote: https://www.melissarooneywriting.com/blog/2022/04/two-cellos-continue-to-entertain-and-inspire-with-matt-simons-and-friends-at-the-dpac-this-week

When I first started writing reviews (most for smaller, local productions in exchange for 2 tickets) and was defending all the shows I was seeing and the time it took to write what I thought were my best reviews, I had actually said to my husband, “I might be able to get free tickets to 2Cellos or something…”

And then I ended up sitting in the front middle section of the *last* performance of 2Cellos I will ever be able to see - literally two miles from where I live - with my 11 YO son. And it was his first concert. AND 2Cellos was also his 18-year-old brother's first concert when he was eleven.

Now that’s synergy :-) .

Needless to say, 2Cellos arranged and performed my #ThemeSong today: They Don’t Care About Us, written by Michael Jackson:
